To enhance safety and reliability, Council will undertake asphalt resurfacing and bitumen reseal works for over 72 kilometres of road (over 100 roads), as part of the 2025-26 Bitumen Reseal & Asphalt Resurfacing Program.

Council engaged cultural heritage experts to prepare an updated Local Heritage Study (LHS). The LHS covered the whole of the Lockyer Valley and included recommendations to enter places on, remove places from, and amend the citation of places on the Local Heritage Register.

Council has been working on a project plan for a potential large-scale mural on the GrainCorp silos adjacent to the rail line in Forest Hill.

Friends of the Cemeteries Group - Expression of Interest for Membership

Council called for expressions of interest for membership on the Friends of the Cemeteries Group (the Group). The Group will represent stakeholders, such as family members and the local community, in ongoing discussions regarding Council-controlled cemeteries in the Lockyer Valley.

The Lake Apex Community Advisory Committee has been established to maximise long-term community outcomes of the entire Lake Apex-Lake Freeman precinct by promoting and guiding development, protection, enhancement and sustainability through a partnership between community stakeholders and Council.

Lockyer Valley Equine Precinct Business Case

A Collaborative comprising Lockyer Valley Turf Club, Racing Queensland, Equestrian Queensland, University of Queensland School of Veterinary Science, Lockyer Valley Regional Council, and Regional Development Australia (Ipswich and West Moreton) has been established to guide the redevelopment of the Lockyer Valley Turf Club.
